HE ONTARIO GENERAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION
(OGCA) hosted its 87th Annual Gen-
eral Meeting (AGM) and Conference, in Boston, Massachusetts,
from September 11 to 13, 2025.
The event brought together
approximately 120 construction industry
leaders to learn, network, and celebrate the
achievements of the OGCA and its members throughout 2024/25.
Business Sessions
Attendees had the opportunity to hear a
legal update from industry experts Annik
Forristal and Krista Chaytor, who provided
insight on the treatment of bond claims in
CCAA proceedings, current trends in contracting to address tariffs, and anticipated
timelines for upcoming changes to the
Construction Act.
Bruce Reynolds and Matt Ainley also led
a session on problem project concerns and
strategies to avoid costly litigation. They
highlighted the e昀昀ectiveness of mid-project mediation to reset the project, prevent
major con昀氀icts, and shared emerging
trends that are delivering highly encouraging results.
