committed Board of Directors. Their experience and
insight provide a steady hand, ensuring that our decisions
are well-informed and our direction is forward-looking. I
am grateful to serve alongside them.
Our Associate Partners Program (APP) also plays a
vital role. APP members bring expertise, connections,
and resources that enrich the entire OGCA community. I
want to especially thank Bart Kanters for his leadership
this past year as APP Chair, and to welcome Krista Chaytor
of WeirFoulds as incoming Chair. Their contributions
exemplify the strength of partnership that de昀椀nes our
association

Engagement Will Define Our Success
Ultimately, success will be measured by how engaged our
members are. By opening more doors to involvement —
whether through committees, or advocacy e昀昀orts — we
foster resilience, relevance, and results. The more voices
we bring to the table, the stronger our association will be.
This is not just about numbers. It is about building a
culture where members feel connected, where they know
they are part of something larger than their own 昀椀rm, and
where their participation makes a real di昀昀erence.
Looking Ahead
The year ahead will bring both challenges and opportunities. Our task is clear: grow our membership, increase
the value of belonging to the OGCA, and strengthen the
association as the leading voice for general contractors
across Ontario.
I also want to recognize our outgoing Chair, Craig
Lesurf. His dedication to this association and his tireless
advocacy for safety have left a lasting mark. It is a great
reassurance for me to have him continuing as Immediate
Past Chair on our Executive. On behalf of all members,
thank you, Craig, for your outstanding leadership!
As we move forward, I am excited to work with all
of you: members, sta昀昀, partners, and peers. Together,
we will ensure that the OGCA not only meets today’s
challenges, but also builds the foundation for tomorrow.
