Data Driven Innovation
According to the Ministry of Labour,
falls accounted for 41% of all critical
workplace injuries from 2013-2023, with
contact injuries accounting for the next
largest chunk at 36%1. To take that a step
further, 37% of all fatalities in that same
timeframe were due to falls, with that
number being above the average of 40%
over the previous two years2.
“We have seen that when a worker falls even
from just 6ft off a ladder, their head protection
has come off on its own by the time they strike
the ground, which can result in a head injury”,
says Christie.
